Your Vortoc Privacy Choices
Vortoc may maintain information derived from public records and other lawful sources. You can ask to access, correct, delete, or suppress information and opt out of certain transfers, subject to applicable law. Suppression from Vortoc does not alter an official government record or remove information held independently by others.
Vortoc provides a single request pathway even where a particular law may not require every right listed here.
1. Available requests
Subject to identity matching, jurisdiction, and exceptions, you may request access to categories or specific personal information; correction of inaccurate derived or contact information; deletion or suppression; a portable copy; opt-out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or qualifying profiling; limitation or withdrawal of consent for sensitive data where applicable; disclosure of source categories and recipient categories; appeal of a denied request; and marketing and channel opt-outs.
2. Submission and verification
Submit a request by emailing [email protected]. Include enough information to locate your records, typically your full name and the city and state associated with you, and nothing more. Do not send Social Security numbers, financial credentials, or unnecessary sensitive documents by ordinary email.
Vortoc collects only proportionate verification information, uses it only for verification and security, and does not require you to create an account. Opt-out requests will not be over-verified where law prohibits or discourages verification. Authorized-agent requests are handled under applicable law.
3. Processing standard
Vortoc date-stamps the request, locates likely records, verifies proportionately, pauses risky disclosure when warranted, applies required actions to active systems and providers, records exceptions, responds within the applicable period, and offers appeal instructions where required. Vortoc uses reasonable efforts to notify relevant recipients when law requires. Vortoc cannot alter an originating court or agency record.
4. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
To opt out of any transfer that may qualify as a sale or sharing under applicable state law, email [email protected] with "Do Not Sell or Share" in the subject line. Vortoc also recognizes browser-based opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control, on its website.
5. Universal Do Not Distribute suppression
Subject to fraud-prevention and legal exceptions, you may request nationwide suppression from future Vortoc distribution. Suppression reduces future Vortoc distribution but cannot retract data already obtained from independent public sources or guarantee that another company will not possess it. A minimized token may be retained to prevent reingestion.
6. Appeals
Send appeals to [email protected] with "Privacy Appeal" in the subject line within 45 days of the decision. You may also contact the appropriate state regulator where that right applies.
7. No retaliation
Vortoc will not unlawfully discriminate against a person for exercising privacy rights. A request may affect a service when the information is necessary to provide it, and Vortoc will explain that consequence where required.
8. Report unwanted contact
To report unwanted contact or suspected misuse of Vortoc data, email [email protected]. Include the caller or sender, the date, the channel, and the message if available. Do not send Social Security numbers, financial credentials, or unnecessary sensitive documents.
